As SilverEdge’s Chief Technology Officer, Vishal Desai provides transformative and innovative IT and business solutions to both our organization and to our customers. Vishal defines SilverEdge’s IT investments and market offerings while overseeing the technology merger that brought together five companies to form our current organization.
Vishal’s unique background provides him with a level of versatility that allows him to make equally valuable contributions across a diverse range of areas, including business, operations, and technical domains. In addition to his role as CTO, he serves as a SilverEdge board member, where he collaborates with GodSpeed Capital to help shape the SilverEdge platform.
Prior to joining SilverEdge, Vishal founded and launched Savli Group in 1996 – a company focused exclusively on delivering advanced automated IT Service, Operations, and Business Management solutions. In 2021, after 25 years as its President and CEO, he successfully transacted Savli Group to Godspeed Capital and the SilverEdge platform.
With over 30 years of experience growing successful businesses and crafting forward-thinking solutions, Vishal’s expertise extends to serving customers and consulting with C-level leadership and industry analyst firms worldwide. As a thought leader and consultant, he specializes in Transformative Business Growth, Innovative Process Automation, and Forward-Thinking Strategies across the commercial, civilian, and DoD IC sectors. Vishal is a frequent speaker at major industry and IC events, and his insights have been featured in many industry publications. He has also served on boards and executive program committees for major industry conferences, cementing his reputation as a respected leader in his field.
Prior to founding Savli Group, Vishal worked at Goddard Space Flight Center, NASA, where he led NASA’s Next Generation Enterprise Management effort to design, build, and deploy a transformative “Next Generation NOC” in support of the Earth Observing System program. NASA bestowed multiple awards to him for his stellar contributions towards its advancement.
Vishal holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
